Self healing mat or cardboard
3 or more black permanent markers

TIPS:: Some areas will be too small to cut out (particularly small dots or details). It’s best to draw those freehand. Also, having several permanent markers on hand works best, to keep them drawing smooth and dark.

Position stencil as desired, flipping and rotating as needed to create a flowing pattern. Use tape to hold in place, as you trace and fill in pattern with permanent marker.

Hi this is fab but I need something easier to just spray paint on stencil going to be putting photos around it as well any tips please.
Hi there! This idea was for when you found something special and wanted to turn it into your own stencil. I would suggest you purchase a stencil and cover ALL your areas. Spray painting somehow always manages to paint in areas you weren't even trying to paint! Best of luck!
Wow! That certainly looks like a lot of work! It's a beautiful and fabulous design. I know this is DIY, but I wonder if it might be easier to have vinyl decorations made that you can place onto the wall. Since it's just going around a window, it might be a cheaper and easier option- especially if you're like me and don't have a very steady hand!
Hi Brian!
Yep...the vinyl decorations do sound like they would be easier...but I'm a DIY kind of girl...so I enjoy it. The important thing is that it inspires you to create something cool...that you can make it your own! Thanks for taking the time to write!
that is soooo cool!
