Waking up on your birthday just isn't the same without a true BIRTHDAY SURPRISE!

Nothing sets the tone for the rest of your day like waking up to a birthday prank! It’s truly the perfect start to one awesome day! These ideas are truly great for kids, teens and adults alike. Ever since our kids were little, we started the birthday morning prank tradition! They love it…but they’re almost worried now when they go to sleep the night before! What will we do next?!?

THE BUBBLE GUN BLASTER

Completely blast them with over 2000+ colorful bubbles per minute with this blaster bubble gun!! Double that with a second blaster gun!! This particular blaster bubble gun comes with four colorful lights! Just dip the front of the bubble gun in the bubble solution, pull the trigger, and it instantly fills their room with bubbles as fast as you can scream “HAPPY BIRTHDAY”!!!

WRAP IT UP!

To pull this prank off, you can either do it meanwhile they are at school/summer camp or have a special place they sleep the night before (like a birthday fort) to allow you time to decorate their room. Then, wrap EVERYTHING (windows, picture frames, dresser, TV, waste basket, chair, bed, etc.)! Add some balloons, confetti, a birthday banner and their birthday gifts!

To plan for this, I used a measuring tape and measured all the areas I wanted to have covered. This provided me with an estimated length of how many feet of wrapping paper I needed to buy. I then added an extra roll just to make sure and allow for errors. Then, just head to your nearest dollar store to stock up OR you can simply buy a jumbo roll like this one and save yourself the trip and searching. Don’t forget the tape and scissors and anything else you’d like to include!!!

ALL TIED UP!

This prank involves having them wake up and finding that they can’t get out of their beds! Their bed sheets have been tied down to the sides of their bed preventing them from taking off the bed sheets and getting up to go find their presents.

Once they are completely fast asleep, sneak into their bedroom and tie down the edges of their bedsheets around the bed frame and posts. (Please use caution with this….be mindful of their age, if the bedroom is too hot, them freaking out, etc.). You can modify this to how you feel would be best for your kids like keeping their heads out or tying it loosely as well so they can wiggle around under the sheets.

We added a second layer of bed sheets to the mix to make it even more complicated for him to get out. (Again, please keep in mind your kids personalities to these type of experiences!) We had a teenager who loves this sort of stuff….please be safe and plan accordingly!

Don’t forget to wake up early, so you can wake them up and catch them being all tied up! Make sure to have a sense of urgency as to why they have to get up. We sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY and told him to hurry to go find his presents!

MEGA LOUD MEGAPHONE

This prank will have them up in no time with the SUPER LOUD MEGAPHONE. This megaphone projects 400+ yards and comes with a built in siren (yeah! it’s super loud in a bedroom!). Annoyingly and loudly sing them HAPPY BIRTHDAY, play a song or sounds on the megaphone, or pretend there is a real emergency and prank them into getting up.

TIMED PRESENTS & BALLOONS GALORE!

Waking up to a room filled with balloons (closets and all) is a pretty nice prank but having to wait every thirty minutes to open your presents….might not be! Plus, waking them up really early to find that out…not so nice!

Wrap their presents and use a black marker to write the times they will be opening up each present on the outside. Make sure you start with whatever time you plan on waking them up. I did the times in increments of 30 minutes, but feel free to do it every hour or as you’d like, depending on their age (and patience) and amount of presents given.

Blow up tons of balloons and fill their bedroom or another room with them. Don’t forget their closets!

TOILET PAPER BLOWER

This is such an unexpected prank! Between the sound of the leaf blower turning on and having rolls of toilet paper shooting straight at you, this is one of our favorites!

:: WHAT YOU NEED ::

2 rolls of toilet paper, leaf blower, duct tape, paint roller

:: WHAT TO DO ::
Tape the paint roller handle to the end of the leaf blower nozzle. Make sure the leaf blower is pointed at the bottom half of the paint rollers spinning part and not directly at it or the toilet paper won’t spin. Next, place the two toilet paper rolls on the paint roller so they are dispensing the paper under instead of over. Lastly, turn the leaf blower on! Do a trial run to ensure everything is working accordingly and make adjustments if needed before doing the prank.

We also added silly strings and a party air horn to the mix!
